Qualcomm Announce Snapdragon 808 And 810 64-bit Processors

Qualcomm has finally announced its most powerful 64-bit processors lineup compromising of Snapdragon 808 and 810 having 6 or 8 cores.

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 is an Octa-core processor using the company's own technology to manage the cores. It has a quad-core A57 20nm part and a less powerful A53 part. Snapdragon 810 will use Adreno 430 GPU whchs is 30% faster than Adreno 420. A new LPDDR4-1600 RAM interface has also been introduced with it.

On the other hand Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 is a less powerful version of 810. It uses dual Cortex A57s and quad-core A53s. It is coupled Adreno 418 GPU which is 20% faster than the Adreno 330. Snapdragon 808 uses a 64-bit wide LPDDR3-933 interface.

Both chip-sets will offer Category 6 LTE, with speeds up to 300Mbs. Sadly these chips are expected to put in use in devices which will be released in second half of 2015. But don't worry Snapdragon 805 will be offered in the upcoming flagship devices like the rumored Note 4 or S5.
