Sony Xperia Z1 is a flagship android smartphone from Sony announced a couple of months ago. At this CES event, Sony announced Xperia Z1 compact.

Sony Xperia Z1 compact has got a 4.3-inch 720p display, quad-core Snapdragon 800 chipset, 2GB RAM, 16GB nternal storage and a 20MP camera. All this is powered by a 2,300mAh battery. The device is also water proof and will be available in four colors.

HTC One Google play editions had long received android 4.4 update. Now its turn of international variants to receive their update.

According to @LlabTooFer the international HTC One, One Max, One Mini and One Dual-sim will receive android 4.4 update this month or in February. The update will not include "HTC SENSE 6".

Meanwhile U.S variant of HTC One will receive OTA Android 4.4.2 update this month with HTC sense 5.5 skin on top.

Phone concept expert Hasan kaymak has shown a concept desighn of Samsung Galaxy S5.

LG G2 is a great android device and in my opinion, it comes in top 10 smartphones of 2013. The sequel to the LG G2 i.e. the LG G3 is now on the rumour list having an 8 core processor.
We don't have much info about the handset but we do have benchmark scores of it. The LG's own 8 core processor codenamed as Odin is rumoured to be featured in LG G3 and a device with the same processor has been through the benchmark tests.


We cannot say Odin to be a true octa-core processor because it scores a total of 27184 which is less than the Exynos processor or the MediaTek 8 core processor which uses 8 cores simultaneously. By looking at the benchmarks, we can say that the 8 cores in Odin don't work simultaneously but rather 4 at one time. 4 cores are for heavy work and 4 for light. The processor shown on the benchmarks is clocked at 100-1GHz.


According to AnTuTu, the device of which these benchmarks are, has a Full HD display, 2 GB RAM, 4 GB of native storage and is running on Android 4.2.2. One thing here is worth noticing that, this device features a GPU which belong to PowerVR Series 6, the same series which comes worth Apple iPhone 5S.

Don't get happy because this is just a prototype and the real one is expected to be much better.

Nokia's 6-inch phablet has landed in China and is available for $339. The handset was first set to launch in 2014 but Nokia decided to make it available in China first followed by Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore and other countries in the coming weeks.

Coming to the hardware of Lumia 1320, it packs a 6-inch 720p IPS LCD display, 1.7 GHz dual-core processor, Snapdragon S4 Pro chiset, 1 GB RAM, 5 MP rear camera with full HD video recording and Windows Phone 8 OS.

We can judge Lumia 1320 to be a good performer by looking at the specs but WP8 is still behind Android and iOS.

Remember the Nokia Normandy I talked about a couple of days ago. Its a Nokia android device codenamed as "Normandy."The handset appeared online again and as usual the leak of its rendered image was shown by @evleaks. But it doesn't mean that this android handset is coming.

A Chinese blog CTech reported that the team which was working on this project, is now working on another project, which could mean that this project is history.

According to experts, Nokia could have been Nokia if it had adopted Android OS before. Anyhow it's a big question that whether this handset will see the day light or not.
